After searching the internet for hours trying to find a recreational basketball league, we were left perplexed at the lack of options. Why is it that after you finish organized sports in high school, you are pushed into a lame beer league? Here at the Brodie League, we provide a competitive basketball experience for those who are not ready to retire from organized sports.

Brodie Athletes are a collective of brothers, fathers, husbands, boyfriends, and friends who are not done with sports. We are here to prove to the world we have a lot left in the tank.

Skill divisions PRO-AM: An invite only experience for hoopers that have played at a professional level. D1 (ELITE): High-level players with extensive basketball experience. D2 (COMP): Seasoned players looking for a competitive experience. D3 (INTER): Athletic players with limited 5on5 basketball experience. D4 (REC): Casual hoopers looking for a fun basketball experience. D5 (ROOKIE): New players looking to play organized basketball for the first time.
SEASON LENGTH		Up to 12 weeks: 9 Guaranteed Games (8 Regular Season & 1 Playoffs).
PLAYOFFS		Single elimination tournament March Madness style. 1 Guaranteed Game.
GAME FORMAT		D1: Two 16 Minute Stop Time Periods D2-D5: Two 20 Minute Periods

Team Sizes

1) JOIN AS A FULL TEAM OF 9+

To join as a full team, your team will need a minimum of 9 players registered. Your captain can register through the Create a New Team portal. Once the team is created the remaining players can join through the Join a Team portal. Your team will be locked once at least 9 players are registered. This means, no free agents will be added to your team.

2) JOIN AS A TEAM OF 5-8

If you have less than 9 players but you have a core 5-8 who want to play together, then you can register a team. Your captain can register through the Create a New Team portal. Once the team is created the remaining players can join through the Join a Team portal. Since you have less than 9 players, free agents will be added to your team (up to a maximum of 9 players).

3) JOIN AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP OF 2-4

If you do not have a team or have less than 5 players but still want to play with your friends, navigate to the Free Agent portal. Leave a note with the first and last name of the player(s) you would like to play with and we will do our best to get you all on the same team.
