There are 3 ways to become a Brodie athlete:
Ambassador Teams are specially organized squads led by a Brodie League Manager or staff member in each region. They're designed to give players — new or experienced — a smooth, supportive, and competitive experience from Day 1, with clear communication and strong leadership on and off the court.
The Captains Play Free Program gives eligible Team Captains the opportunity to play in the Brodie League for FREE. Captains register, recruit and fill a team of 10 players. Full refunds are issued during Week 2 of the season after eligibility is confirmed.
Brodie offers five divisions:
Our team works to ensure you're placed at the right level.
Teams need a minimum of 9 registered players to be considered full. Teams with fewer than 9 players may have free agents added. There's no upper limit — teams with more than 10 players should contact their League Manager to ensure enough jerseys are ordered.
We do our best to assign Free Agents where they are needed and based on skill level. You can also list friends you're signing up with in the Free Agent portal, and we'll try to place you together.
Absolutely. Brodie League is a mixed-gender, inclusive community built for anyone who loves basketball or wants to meet new people. Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for players of all backgrounds and skill levels.

Brodie runs year-round with 4 distinct seasons:
A new season starts every three months, making it easy to join based on your schedule.
Yes — you're welcome to play on multiple teams in one night, as long as each team is in a different division. We'll try to avoid scheduling your games at the same time, but it's not guaranteed.
Yes. Contact your League Manager to request a team name change.
Log into your athlete account on athletes.brodierec.com and follow the steps to update your payment information or settle any outstanding balance. Players with unpaid balances are not eligible to play or receive their jersey.
Summer 2026 registration runs March 27 – May 29. Key dates:
You can access your invoice by logging into your account on athletes.brodierec.com and navigating to your billing or registration history.
Your schedule is available on the Brodie Website and in the Brodie App. Apply filters to view your location, team, and game times. All info — including game times, court assignments, and streaming links — is available there. Ask your League Manager on arrival for any court-related questions. Playoffs begin after Week 8.
Once posted, game schedules are rarely changed. Any adjustments will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. In rare cases of unexpected facility issues (e.g. flooding, safety hazards), you'll be notified with a minimum of 3 hours' notice.
If your team will not have at least 5 players, please notify your League Manager at least 48 hours before your scheduled game time. They will do their best to reschedule or find a solution.
If a player is injured and can leave the court without distress, they should assess if they can continue. If not, or if a referee deems the player unfit, notify your on-site League Manager and seek medical attention. For serious injuries where the player cannot safely move, keep them still, call 911 if needed, and notify the League Manager immediately.
Every team is subject to any game time within their location's scheduled window. This is to ensure fairness across all teams. For example, if a location runs from 8pm–12am, any team may be scheduled within that range.
Yes, but replacement players are not allowed on a per-game drop-in basis. The player giving up their spot relinquishes it for the remainder of the season and cannot return to that team. Replacement players must meet standard eligibility requirements. See the full Replacement Player policy for details.
Disciplinary actions range from a single-game suspension (for minor unsportsmanlike conduct) to a season suspension or permanent ban (for serious infractions like physical altercations or repeated violations). Final decisions are at the discretion of Brodie League leadership based on referee reports, athlete history, and review of the incident.
At the end of the regular season, top players based on stats are nominated for All-Star Voting. Check your location's Instagram page to vote. The highest-voted players from each location are selected to represent their city. Players from all divisions are eligible and invited to the All-Star Game.
The All-Star Game is a showcase event for the top-voted players from each location. All-Star Jerseys are provided before the game — arrive 20–30 minutes early to pick up your jersey (first come, first served for size preference). The All-Star Game is just the beginning; more events are planned around game day.
Selected athletes will receive an invitation via email with RSVP instructions. Keep an eye on your inbox once the regular season wraps up.
BrodieID™ is Brodie's team personalization feature — it puts your team name on the front chest of your jerseys. Any team with 8 registered players qualifies. Submit your team name (13 characters or fewer) before the BrodieID™ deadline and our team handles the rest. Players can also add their name/nickname and number to the back of select styles.
Yes! Sign up before the personalized jersey deadline to add your name and number to the back and select your preferred jersey size. You can update your jersey name, number, and size in your athlete account before the deadline. Multiple jersey designs are available — sign up early for the best chance of getting your preferred style.
If your team misses the custom jersey deadline, you'll receive a Standard Jersey Set. This includes: 3 Medium, 4 Large, 2 XL, 1 XXL — with popular NBA-style randomized numbers. If you need a size larger than XXL, contact your League Manager directly.
Jersey selection is first-come, first-served — the earlier you register, the better your chances of getting your preferred design. During sign-up, rank your top 5 jersey style preferences. Most teams receive one of their top 5 choices. If none are available, your Team Captain will be contacted with remaining options.
Jerseys are true to size. Shorts are designed to fit approximately 1–2 inches above the knee. Note: shorts and jersey size must match — you cannot mix sizes (e.g. a Large jersey must be paired with Large shorts).
Jerseys are distributed on Opening Night (Week 1) at your registered league location. Arrive 30 minutes before your game to receive your jersey. If you can't make Opening Night, contact your League Manager to arrange delivery at your next game. Players with outstanding payments will not receive their jerseys.
Contact your League Manager or submit a replacement request form. The cost to replace a jersey and/or shorts is $50 + shipping fees.
Brodie tracks a comprehensive range of individual and team stats including: Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, FGM/FGA/FG%, FTM/FTA/FT%, and 3PTM/3PTA/3PT%. Per-game averages and career totals are calculated for key stats, along with single-game career highs.
Stats are recorded by a team of FIBA-certified professionals who watch games through BallerTV footage. A stats supervisor reviews games for accuracy. On-site scorekeepers record total team points and fouls live. Stats are updated on the website and app within 1–3 days after each game.
All-Star selections are based in part on individual stat performance. Top performers are recognized as team or league leaders. Stats help players track their growth and showcase their performance for social sharing and personal highlights.
Stats are posted on both the Brodie website and Brodie App, typically within 1–3 days following your game. You can filter by location, team, season, and conference. If you notice an error in your stats, submit a correction request and the team will review it.
You may appear as a Spare Player if your jersey number was not recorded on the scoresheet at the start of the season, or if you wore a different number than originally registered. Submit a stats correction form to have your stats properly attributed to your name.
Access leaderboards on the Brodie website or app under the Stats section. Select Leaderboards, then filter by current or past seasons, and use the location filter to view leaders from specific cities or gyms.
Playoffs begin after Week 8 of the regular season.
All players registered before the season start qualify for playoffs. Players who register during the season must play a minimum of 3 games to qualify. The League Manager has final decision on playoff eligibility. Using ineligible players results in an automatic forfeit and disqualification.
Championship teams receive the full Brodie Champ Package including a Championship Trophy, MVP Belt, Championship T-Shirts, and Championship Rings. Brodie has recently introduced Championship Rings as part of the prize package.
Suspension length is determined at the discretion of Brodie League based on: severity of the incident, athlete history, referee reports, input from involved parties, and review by league leadership. Final suspension details are communicated directly via email. Failure to comply with a suspension may result in escalated action, including a full-season suspension or permanent ban.
Yes. Contact your League Manager directly to initiate the appeal process. Appeals should be submitted as soon as possible after receiving your suspension notification. Provide clear reasoning, relevant context, or evidence to support your case. Decisions are made after a full review of all factors.

Weekly mixtape highlights are posted on Instagram Reels. Follow and tag your team and league when reposting to boost visibility and get noticed by the Brodie content team.
For every new athlete who creates an account using your unique referral link and registers for their first Brodie League season, you earn $25. You also earn $5 for every additional season that referred athlete continues playing. Rewards are issued after Week 1 of each new season via email.

There's no limit to how many athletes you can refer — the more, the merrier. Each referred athlete must be a new Brodie member (first-time registrant). Note: multiple athletes cannot refer the same new player. Share your unique invite link to get started — find it in your athlete account.

Submit feedback through the Referee Feedback Form (available in the help centre). You can report perceived unfairness, inappropriate behavior, game management issues, or leave general comments. All feedback is reviewed, and serious issues are investigated. Repeated or egregious offenses may result in a referee being removed from the league.
