Ninety-nine per cent of people who love this game were told to stop playing it. Tonight one of them is on CBC.

We're on Dragons' Den tonight, Thursday, October 8, at 8 PM ET on CBC and CBC Gem.

We started BRODIE® because grown men had nowhere left to play. The team you came up with drifts apart after school, and the game usually goes with it. Fifty thousand athletes later, Thursday night ball is back on the calendar for a lot of people, and so are the friendships that come with it.

We also believe something that doesn't get said enough: competition is good for you. Wanting to win a Tuesday night game in Burlington is nothing to apologize for. It's the reason you show up, train in the off-season, and text the group chat at midnight. Walking into the Den with that belief, in front of the whole country, felt like an affirmation of it.

The first thing you notice in any BRODIE® venue is the sound, the squeak of shoes on a waxed floor and forty people on their feet when the game is tied. We wanted the Den to hear it.

So we brought the league with us. A BRODIE® floor inside the CBC studio, our fans in the stands, and four Brodie Athletes™ who played on that stage the way they play on a Tuesday night game.

Tonight is an affirmation of something that already happens Monday to Sunday in 25 locations across 35 cities. The win we care about is every court filled with everyday athletes who found a third space, a place to connect and to keep the friendships they made on a floor. If you play BRODIE®, this episode is about you.

Set a reminder for 8 PM, then keep the one you already have for your next game night.
